“The Three Pines site is located between 310 and 350 metres and has produced a humdinger of a wine in 2017. Blending Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Petit Verdot, this is a dense, abundantly aromatic red with cedarwood and lead pencil scents, granular tannins and the freshness of the vintage. 2021-29”

“The ‘Three Pines’ Cabernet Sauvignon by Stark-Condé is a simply awesome new release wine. This was aged in small French oak barrels before being bottled and leads with lovely anise and red bell pepper tones that collide with shades of creosote and chocolate covered black cherry that all take shape in the glass. The palate has seriously good freshness and length, with a silly texture. Outstanding to enjoy in its youth, the 2017 Stark-Condé ‘Three Pines’ Cabernet Sauvignon will have a long life ahead of it.”

“Warm and brambly, this is like a cozy sweater in a glass, enticing and welcoming in aromas of ripe black currant, plum preserves and boysenberry. The medium-weight palate shows soft tannic structure and ample acidity to keep the plush fruit in check and vibrant through the close. Fruit flavors initially fuel the finish but then fade into delicate hints of toasted oak and cigar spice. Drink now–2026.”

“This shows a solid body, with plush tannins and mouthwatering acidity creating a firm structure, while notes of blackberry, cassis and roasted plum bring the charm. Pine accents add another layer on the long, mouthwatering finish. Give this time to come together. Best from 2022 through 2032. ”
